Took a trip to the observatory at the top of 紫金山 yesterday… sleepy today. Enjoy.
So, China’s cracked down on my VPN and I’m having trouble accessing a lot of the internet, including tumblr. Until I can figure out how to fix it, there will be a lot fewer updates… sorry :(
So, my most recent excursion was to Zhong Shan Ling, or Sunyetsen’s tomb, at Purple Mountain with a bunch of my coworkers from the Qiaobei Wawa Reading center. It was a lot of fun! I met an “Australian” (I doubt it, mister) who spoke extremely quickly and asked me all sorts of “I’m practicing my English” questions without remembering to say “Hello.” Martin is a new prospective hire from Zimbabwe, I hope he joins us for certain as a teacher soon.
In other news, teaching is going very well and I got a haircut (not pictured)! Woo!
